I hope all goes well for you guys in the near and distant future.

Re: My Health
All the best with this, hoping and praying for the best and that there's nothing serious going on. Stay positive.

Stay strong and stay positive.

Can emphasize with your situation, Elizabetta. Back in 2011 I had surgery and chemo therapy for colon cancer.

Re: My Health
A journey I haven't made myself but many friends and some family have and some are now. Treatments are getting better and more targetted and refined. Not something we choose but like much of life; play it to rhe best of our ability as it comes. You are both lucky to have each other. Best wishes, Anthony

Re: My Health
I have just been released from hospital after almost three weeks with a serious electrical problem with my heart. I am just awaiting a lift home. I hope the dog recognises me. Today, they implanted a new pacemaker of a different type to regulate my heart rate. The procedure was painful, but at least this time I had some degree of pain relief. When my original pacemaker was installed at a different and more primitive hospital, it was excruciating. All I had was a swig of rum and a piece of rope to bite on. Well, pretty much.
I should be ok now subject to the wound healing.

We learnt of Stu's condition in his "Motivation" posts and were/are worried since his pace maker was failing and he was worried about having a replacement fitted. I am really pleased for you Stu that your operation when well and I hope things progress without infection this time.Elisabetta wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 7:08 amNot sure how this applies to me? We are all waiting in this series of posts for you Elizabetta to get good results.
I wonder if the moderators could may be split these posts into Elizabetta and Stu so we could monitor and discuss both without confusion.
Maybe we need a dedicated section in personal for health matters?

I agree because it's going to confuse readers. I was confused myself.
I'm glad Stu is okay maybe he meant to update it on a post or thread he made? Regardless am hoping for the best all around for the both of us.

Re: My Health
I didn't mean to hijack your thread, Elisabetta. I was still dopey from a heavy dose of fentanyl while awaiting release from hospital and saw the heading "My Health". So I wrote about "My Health".

Re: My Health
No cancer! No blood transfusions. He said due to inflammation and just to continue to exercise and lose weight as I've been. He thinks it's from the rod in my leg.
