If you knew________. like I know

Post by STEVIE »

Good Morning All,
I really do wish that I could shout this out.
The beginning, 17th September 2010,
STEVIE wrote: Fri Sep 17, 2010 11:13 pm Just to say hello, this is the very first time that I have admitted in public to enjoying wearing skirt or dress. Other than to my wife, not approroving or to my therapist who was at least a tad supportive. I now seem to have embarked on a journey and don't have the slightest clue where it will lead, but hey, ho.
Now 4,446 posts later, I have news of the very very best sort, I am unashamedly someone's MIS.
All those years ago this post would have been beyond my very wildest dreams and I still have to pinch myself to be sure.
Now I shall fill in the blank, yup, Susie, she is the perfect storm who has so miraculously blown through my life.
All that's left, is for me to thank the lady for showing me the true value of simple friendship and a warning to you guys, handle with care!
The gentlest of women with the heart of a lioness, it is now for Susie herself to tell it as she chooses and introduce herself.
Biased, hell yeah, but the cafe could be about to experience the best thing since, well, forever.
From all those posts, this has to be the pinnacle and all I did was wear a skirt and talk to the right person at the right time.
Steve.

If you're wondering why I didn't say right away - I thought Stevie wanted it kept a secret.
Monday's morning cuppa and chat clarified matters, so pleased he's decided he'll admit to knowing me!!!

And that rose was a gift from my garden to celebrate him being 1 year free of cancer.

It has been fun talking to you as new member of the cafe. It is equally fun to find out that this mythical lady Stevie has been going on about, is one and the same Susie we already know.

That is sweet of you.

Now that you have your own introduction subject, started by Stevie, you are allowed and encouraged to write about yourself as much as you like.

So are you the painter that wants to commit Stevie's image to canvas? I hope what we discussed about two dresses did not annoy you? We were asked for strong comment....

Anyway, you are very welcome to the cafe and I hope you continue to comment and ask questions.

Thank you - but I am most certainly NOT a painter!!

Only input into this project is in the choosing of an outfit and pointing out that very few women would pass up the opportunity to buy a new outfit for such a project, not something they already own.

Proving that, while you all wear dresses / skirts, you definitely don't think like a woman.

Susie & Steve;

Thank you, thank you, thank you for such forthright and heartfelt sharing, it will be most welcome to many on this site. Sadly too many here do not have understanding or supportive spouses or S.O's. Your post brought tears to my eyes both for your joy and as a reminder of how fortunate I am to have a spouse that stands by me spiritually, and in all the places we go -- sometimes wearing of my skirts! (Inside 'joke' -- she is welcome to partake of my closet, but she is a bit more 'stringy' with hers. :D )

Susie, do please keep up "correcting" or informing we males of the species of how we seem to often be missing the nuances of what our counterparts are thinking. We have very few women who comment very often, and your insights are a boon. My spouse, despite her standing with me, does not seem to find enough of interest to her to engage in following or commenting -- although she gets a kick out of a number of UA's cartoon posts when I point them out!

Steve, I have noticed a softening of tone in your posts and delighted to hear the news -- hoping it is a long and joyous path both of you flourish upon.

Thanks Faldaguy,
Your reply means a lot to me, I would not presume to reply on Susie's behalf, she is more than capable.
Hey, I'm learning already, must be a good influence!

Stevie, I am glad that you have met someone who gets you. I haven't been keeping up on the forum so much since moving, and this was the first thing I saw, and it gladdens my heart. I'll have to catch up on the posts related to the revelation, which I look forward to doing.
Best wishes going forward.

Thanks Modoc,
Right now, I have to say that she has sweetened my life immeasurably.
I have learned 2 things from her though, she does not like the song which inspired the original title and would not appreciate me making comments on her behalf.

Steve and Susie, I've been off-line for a while and what a very pleasant surprise. Steve, your tone has changed so much. So wonderful to see people so supportive of each other.

Thanks Barry, and for one time only.
Thanks from us both.
I hope this doesn't get me in hot water!
Steve.
