Another deeply inactive user purge coming

Post by crfriend »

Well, it's time to do some housecleaning, and one of the things I do here from time to time is to deactivate users who haven't ever successfully logged in, have never posted, or have not logged in during the past year. The last time this happened was pre-COVID, so that give an idea how lax things have gotten at Command Central.

The time has come, and that time will likely be tomorrow (for me) 2024-08-30, sometime in the morning. This will not affect any active members. It's mainly to separate the wheat from the chaff and discard the chaff.

I've prototyped this in my lab at home (I always do before changing the Production system!) and the result was as expected. Thus, I'll perform it for real on the morrow.

This might explain why I couldn't access my original account from back in 2018.

That was not related to this if you had posts from that account (which is probable). I strive mightily to not mangle history with these things.

The criteria for deletion are:

1) Not logged on in the past year
2) NO posts EVER
3) Registration newer than 10 years ago
4) Not a recognised "bot"
5) Base user_id > 50 to protect the truly historic members and various control accounts.

So, if if one's account does not fulfil ALL of those, no action is taken.

I think I've actually published the SQL statement I use before.

I don't often visit this site but hope not to be removed I simply love wearing a skirt started about 6 or 7 years ago physical conditions became such that I could only stay in the house and wear a towel my wife punched a skirt from the thrift store and it was relief and love of the skirt . I now wear a skirt mostly denim 90% of the time , and rarely see any negative reaction because I don't act unnatural I love the freedom I have.

I had to refer to my lab system which now lags production by a couple of days, and noted that (1) you logged in during June, 2024 so you fell in the exemption from deletion, and you actually have one post to your credit which means you'll never fall 'foul of the algorithm.

Life's generally good if we can ignore the minutiae and garbage that gets tossed at us. So chime in and have fun with the community.

I think from CR's criteria you are safe since you have posted and logged in recently.

You are totally free to live and post as you please, but we are a fun and friendly bunch to chat with and share stories. If you post more and become a full member, there is more of the cafe to see.
Daily, a happy man in a skirt...
