I think it's really healthy to explore your fantasies. You can spent a lot of time worrying about what you mind dreams up. Then one day you try it on and the bubble is burst.

Here are some pictures of what I'm wearing at the moment -- probably ultra "feminine" in some respects -- flimsy, ruffled, lavender or range in parts, dual layered see-through hem.... and gosh, you know I'm the same guy yesterday in a plain blue denim skirt. The 'not skirt' picture is my little EV UTV that I was out there, in this same feminine skirt today, pulling out the 8- 6v 205amp/hr batteries for a Lithium conversion; compressor, powered lug wrench, sockets, vice grips, car jacks, et al; --- ooh so very ....what?

I find that T-Shirt dresses are a good way to make a skirt look masculine even though it’s not a skirt. It’s basically just a very long T-shirt. I try and come up with my own look when dressing up and I try to stay away from masculine and feminine. I experiment with dresses, skirts, waistcoats, sweatshirts, long shirts for a unique style. I like the way women have developed fashion by adding mens boots and shoes with dresses and skirts and experimenting with styles.

This, precisely. For one, "femininity" is a completely obsolete concept except in the most backwards-facing of areas (women having become very masculine in recent decades), and increasingly "masculinity" is nothing more than a cudgel with which to beat men with. Give it up.

The important thing when it comes to adornment is whether you are happy with the look and feel of the rig in question. If it "ticks all the right boxes" for you, then you'll have done well. It will also reflect in your outwards appearance and behaviour -- which is not necessarily a bad thing. And, to the naysayers, the response can merely be, "At least this comes off at the end of the day. Try that with what you've done to your body!"

Just for record Faldaguy I don't think there's any such thing as masculine and feminine just men and women.
The skirt looks nice and I bet it's nice to wear. That's all that matters.

Look and comfort, all very well and important as I keep saying.
However, there has to be a fun element too and colourful or short skirts and dresses, any clothes can supply that.
Fact is women know that and we have to learn it too.

If I want a masculine skirt, I wear a kilt.

Some cargo skirts or denim skirts can have a masculine leaning, but in the main, most skirts have a feminine feel to them, with some accentuating this with lace and bows etc. That is not to say that a man cannot take the most feminine skirt and dress it down with other clothes to make the skirt fit into his style.

The way I see it is that if I like the way I look and it fits me and it’s comfortable and it makes me happy that’s all that matters. The older I’ve got the less I care about what anyone else thinks about the way I look. Everyone else is so wrapped up in their own issues and life anyway to care as has been proved when I go out in public in a kilt or a dress with black leggings or tights I get no reactions positive or negative but one time an attractive girl commented that she liked what I was wearing when I was walking through the university grounds in my local town which I found very flattering.

I usually buy a lot of T-shirt mini dresses and I love them but recently I bought myself a T-shirt midi dress that goes right down to my calves and I think I look good wearing it and I’m not giving a damn if I look weird the important thing is I like it and I’ll wear it in public. I’m seriously thinking of wearing black fishnet tights with the long t-shirt midi dress with a dark purple waistcoat and a black trench coat and my brown timberland boots.

And we should keep in mind that individual men (like some members) can pull off a look that might not fit into stereotypes.

Perhaps an individual can make a rig look good that includes a non-"masculine" skirts, and other items outside the man box.

What we initially wanted to wear, in our fantasies. When we try our fantasies in real life, and find that they don't really work for us, there is a diversity of rigs to try. Searching for alternatives to our fantasies may be fruitful.

I still say there is no masculine and feminine, just men and women. All part of the rich tapestry of life.
