[Big and Bashful]

In the English canal network, to go almost everywhere you need to have a boat no more than 57 feet long and no wider than 6 foot 10 inches. I think there are one or two locks that are shorter but they do not block access to much of the network, maybe 1 percent.
On our holidays we usually book a 70 by 6'10" boat, the last time we had a shorter boat was to cruise on the Leeds & Liverpool canal, where the locks are 14 foot by 62 foot.

Just to bring skirts into the conversation. I am not sure which is the front or back but I know which way around would fill the sails better.
