Voting Machine Problems

Post by Uncle Al »

I've watched this on Facebook and downloaded the file, in case
"someone" wants to down-play it or completely remove it.
I may upload it to my Youtube channel so that it becomes a
more 'permanent record'.

This is an election judge, and election officials, demonstrating how
votes are/were stolen. He is straight forward in his amazement of
how the pre-planned "TEST" was going to work, and how it didn't
turn out as expected.
https://www.facebook.com/1033174221/vid ... 481764456/

And 'everyone says the election was not rigged'.
I call B.S. :!:

U.A., I didn't watch the "expert".

Who knows if it was or it wasn't? S a Brit it doesn't matter to me one way or another. But just showing that it was possible to be done doesn't follow that it was. I suppose that even in our elections, as relatively simpler as they are, it is possible for them to be "fixed" in some way. But we don't have the degree of paranoia that Trump seems to be generating in his childish tantrum. At this late stage it'll never be disproved/proved without VERY great expense and a GREAT deal of time. Geeze, it cost $3m dollars just for ONE recount. And it IS up to Trump to prove the fraud not the other way around. It may not even be possible as, for example, it appears that envelopes and poll forms are separated and trying to marry them together ..... If possible it would probably get done ready for the 2024 election. He is right in one way His actions and tweets are holding him up to ridicule over here and His fitness to be a leader of such a large and still great nation diminishes by the hour. Our main news channels have pretty much stopped reporting on Him except for maybe 20 second snippets. It's just not news anymore.

I saw it on Facebook, so it's gotta be true!

The video lacks a lot of context and information...

What's the name of the election judge?

What are his bonafides?

Who is Tuvyah Schleifer, aside from being some e-commerce marketing guy?

What state and district are these machines being used in?

Has there been an independent third party review?

Because what I see here is a handful of unnamed random people that are using technology and memory cartridges to which we have no way of verifying what these machines and cartridges have been programmed to do prior to this recording. And add that to the concern that this equipment looks like it jumped straight out of the early 1990s.

Virtually every single judge that has reviewed the various challenges to this election, Trumps own justice department (Barr), and virtually every. single. news. outlet, including conservative sources like Fox News and Sinclair Broadcast Group are reporting NO substantial evidence of voter fraud...

And yet we're suppose to take these 10 peoples word for it.... 10 people in a seven minute shaky cam, grainy video, amateur sure, but edited enough to include the "woo-woo" spooky sound effects when the vote is tallied....

Based on the obvious age of these machines, is it safe to assume 2016 was RIGGED too? Shall we give Hillary Clinton a term for the heck of it?

I've got a bridge I'd be happy to sell ya too....

Come on man....

My post in Dave's thread illustrated I have no intention of drinking the Bideohall, but I ain't drinking this Trumpahol B.S. either.... There's a conspiracy alright, but you're barking up the wrong tree with this nonsense... try again..

A little hint.... it's not how the ballots are counted... it's how those names got on there to start with...

...think about it.

I'm tired of everyone saying "Trump this" or "Trump that".
This clip, posted on Facebook, is from YouTube.

THIS is the YouTube link to the video.

Watch it closely and you'll see WHEN the video was made.
The print-out from the machine clearly reads 12/13/05 and
READ ALL COMMENTS :!:

So, this clip is dated but still proves that voting fraud has happened,
and IS HAPPENING TODAY :!: The "programers" are getting better at
hiding their trails.

My question is "WHO is paying the 'companies' to create the "System" :?:

Now - - May we PLEASE stop the bantering about Trump or Biden :?:
We need to focus on WHY the 'companies that created the system'
to be biased and unfair to every voter.

Oh, well this is old news then (explains the 90's era printers and CRT monitors...)

Yes Al, you are correct. This was an actual case in Virginia. Through the 00's (the Bush years and some of the Obama years if I recall), Virginia did indeed use electronic voting machines that left no actual paper trail. I remember them...

And even then, respectable news journalist performed investigations and found Virginia's voting machines were not tallying votes accurately. Those machines have been phased out for almost a decade now, and these days we use paper ballots and we feed them into a machine.

I assume these machines count the vote, but in the event of a close race, or should candidate request it, there is a hard paper copy of every single vote cast.

As in the case in Georgia, a hand recount was performed, and even a third and final machine recount. The only thing negative that came out of that was death threats and endless harassment targeted towards Georgia election workers and officials.

Even in the video, a hard copy is being saved.

We've come along way from the days of punch cards and hanging chads.

How would you suggest people process 150,000,000 votes in a matter of days?

How do you know who to trust? Can there ever really be a method that can truly be trustworthy? All we have is all we've ever had, independent third party review of every aspect of out election process.

Multiple sources indicate the 2020 election has been the most accurate, reliable, and secure election in U.S. history. It seems nobody can find substantial evidence of any foul play, and God knows the GOP is looking VERY hard, splitting hairs right down to the atomic level... still nothing.

And all this despite attempts by the current administration to defund the postal service, trash sorting machines, remove letter boxes, etc etc.

Then why bring this up in 2020, when people people are already wound up over unproven claims of election fraud today?

How? Where is the evidence of these claims?

I'm not saying it's not happening, I don't know, the only vote I've handled was my own, but when virtually all sources (save for "Newsmax") say there has been no reports or evidence presented to date of election fraud, then what's the point of this thread, or video other than to muddy the water....? And the video is 15 years old..... well hell fire... 15 years before I was born man hadn't even landed on the moon yet. 15 years... that's enough time for a baby to be born and get a learners permit in many states... 15 years ago, I don't even think smart phones existed... I didn't even have a cell phone... and you still paid by the minute for long distance calls...

Hell 15 years ago Trump was a Democrat! [0] A lot can change in 15 years! :bom:

[0] Well... sorta... nobody really knows,
In a 2004 interview, Trump told CNN's Wolf Blitzer: "In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat", explaining: "It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans.

The answer is... "we are"!

And yes, private companies build voting machines with private capital and sell them to the various states. Are you suggesting the government build these things themselves?

Isn't that kinda like..... hehehe....naaaahhhh I ain't even going there tonight! 8)

I nominate pelmut to build our voting machines, Carl to program them, and Jim to oversee the whole operation.

That's a dream team if there ever was one!

Back in the late 1960s, Mission Impossible: aired a show where "fixing" voting machines played prominently. We all know it's possible, but there are controls in place to prevent fraud. This includes computer-assisted counting.

How do I know this? Because I have first-hand experience in the process. Back when I was still a lad in high school, and already a subject-matter expert on the computer in use at the town which served primarily as a teaching and administrative tool -- but which also served to count the punch-card ballots that were in use at the time (and which were still in use in Florida in 2000), and I was at the time, even as a minor, allowed to be part of the process. There were several "dry runs" of the election using a carefully-prepared deck of cards (ballots) that we fed into the Documation-200 card reader attached to the Data General NOVA 840 -- and the expectation was that the "outcome" would match the carefully-prepared deck of "ballots". This was run, once again, before the official ballot-boxes were unlocked in the computer room, and in the presence of the observers. Any deviation from the expected output would indicate that tampering had taken place. Once that run was complete, and the results prominently displayed and verified, only then were the official boxes opened and fed into the card-reader -- without rebooting or changing anything in the computer. If the count was close, the process was repeated and compared. Only then would the town certify the results.

The above tactic works with mark-sense ballots which is what responsible precincts use today.

Face it, Trump lost the election. We don't know what the next gambit will be, but my money is increasingly gravitating to seeing him led out of the White House in handcuffs by armed Secret Service personnel on the afternoon of 2021-01-20.

Unfortunately, as mentioned in another thread, it wasn't Biden who "won", but rather the oligarchs.

You will find the most authoritative statement by the experts here:
https://www.cisa.gov/news/2020/11/12/jo ... l-election
JOINT STATEMENT FROM ELECTIONS INFRASTRUCTURE GOVERNMENT COORDINATING COUNCIL & THE ELECTION INFRASTRUCTURE SECTOR COORDINATING EXECUTIVE COMMITTEES
Original release date: November 12, 2020
WASHINGTON – The members of Election Infrastructure Government Coordinating Council (GCC) Executive Committee – Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Assistant Director Bob Kolasky, U.S. Election Assistance Commission Chair Benjamin Hovland, National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) President Maggie Toulouse Oliver, National Association of State Election Directors (NASED) President Lori Augino, and Escambia County (Florida) Supervisor of Elections David Stafford – and the members of the Election Infrastructure Sector Coordinating Council (SCC) – Chair Brian Hancock (Unisyn Voting Solutions), Vice Chair Sam Derheimer (Hart InterCivic), Chris Wlaschin (Election Systems & Software), Ericka Haas (Electronic Registration Information Center), and Maria Bianchi (Democracy Works) - released the following statement:

“The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history. Right now, across the country, election officials are reviewing and double checking the entire election process prior to finalizing the result.

“When states have close elections, many will recount ballots. All of the states with close results in the 2020 presidential race have paper records of each vote, allowing the ability to go back and count each ballot if necessary. This is an added benefit for security and resilience. This process allows for the identification and correction of any mistakes or errors. There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised.

“Other security measures like pre-election testing, state certification of voting equipment, and the U.S. Election Assistance Commission’s (EAC) certification of voting equipment help to build additional confidence in the voting systems used in 2020.

“While we know there are many unfounded claims and opportunities for misinformation about the process of our elections, we can assure you we have the utmost confidence in the security and integrity of our elections, and you should too. When you have questions, turn to elections officials as trusted voices as they administer elections.”

That a fault was found in some system in 2005 does not prove it happened in this election. Indeed, most of the swing states that used the Dominion voting machines went to trump. Where there were recounts, most of them used paper ballots, and were hand checked by multiple people, including representatives from both parties. Those recounts showed most of the errors went to trump, so all they succeeded in doing was to increase biden's lead. It's done, it's over. The lawsuits are simply a mechanism to justify the begging emails for funds which have not gone to legal fees, but mostly into a PAC that is aimed at anything but the legal challenges. 25% of it goes to the RNC. If you give less than $5,000, none of it goes to the election challenges.

How about this for a voting machine...?

My first election in 2000, Virginia was still using this, I think that was the last election these were used... but I do remember pulling the mechanical levers...

Somehow I view a rigged election machine like a casino slot machine - - -
You go into the voting booth and pull the handle on the one arm machine - the one you are voting for - - -
And the internal wheels spin and spit out display you have voted - winning with 3 cherries for your candidate.
In a back room the win is interpreted to be a winning vote for not the one you voted for but that other guy*** !
*** Yeah the one that owns the machine or interests in how it is operated favoring his candidate.

Fast forward - really I don't see how you can cheat in a paper ballot election.
As long as you are not hiding cast ballots or introducing illegally cast ballots.
The setup with all the registration checks to receive and cast your one ballot/vote and entered into the
optical scanner the very moment that you have completed your vote - cheating is not possible
The optical scanner counts the black ovals marked for a candidate and tabulates the results.
If you counted paper ballots by hand well by 1/20/2021 you may still be counting -
So the machine does it faster and the accuracy is in the programing -
dishonest programing may result in a different return at that one machine - done at multiple
locations where the vote is traditionally leaning slanted dictated in one direction - RED FLAGS
or BLUE if you care are going to raised. A recount will reveal bias and machine error (tampering)
programing error i.e. not all the ovals alined on all machines in the same location
But this doesn't happen when the machines and the programing are checked and rechecked before the vote.

Rigging a small town may be done -
A rural area - now really throwing a wild one out there -
A whole county - this is getting absurd -
A congressional section - dream the impossible dream -
State wide - this isn't Jamestown with everyone on that kool aid !

Altering an election with enough numbers to change the results is only for scientists dealing in light year
numbers from outer space.

Time to concede - accept the will of the voters - move on - get the voting errors procedure if any ! fixed
for the next keep American Great event in 2024 - and don't forget the side show in 2022 with lessor actors setting the stage.
Maybe there is an alternative to the Electoral College - time for some scholars to find a workable solution to
why winning the popular vote is the true winner take all solution.
One burro vote in Texas - one horse in Wyoming - 1 goat in Rhode Island - 1 ram in Alaska are all just 1 vote
nothing more nothing less just 1 vote. The consensus the person getting the most votes is the one the most people
want running the country. Could it possibly any more simple than that ?

The men with white coats are coming to remove me off my soap box - I have but only one vote to cast for my country ! ! !
And no I did not vote by casino slot machine - there is no winning by that method !
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

UA: If you want to talk voting machine problems, especially from the era of 2000 - 2004 -- just look to Ohio and Diebold, where there is clear evidence of tampering, even convictions. BUT, you won't like the facts as they mostly indict Republicans, and a shady character named Blackwell who became part of Trump's team in 2017 or thereabouts; a guy with a history, along with a bunch of others, seeking to manipulate, use voter suppression and gerrymandering to manipulate results. I am enough of a sceptic to agree that the potential to alter machines exists, but given the extensive and broad based investigations that have been conducted with this election -- pretty much all except the conspiracy theorists who loudly proclaim without evidence, that the counts are accurate this time, I think you are doing the country a disservice by supporting this poop about fraud. Here are a couple of links that show a history of problems -- but if they point fingers, it is to insider Republican contracting.

Vote counting is an example of an "embarrassingly parallel problem". It is literally a question of throwing more people at the problem. You already have the ballots spread geographically in the same proportion as where the people live. So I think see this as a fundamental problem.

In Australia they do preferential voting (aka Instant Run-off) with paper ballots and still manage to get a provisional result on the same night. Sure, there might be a few seats in doubt for a while if it goes to preferences. The Senate elections can take a while though, but they're usually not required to be done in a short time period anyway (the Senate doesn't change at the same time as the Parliament).

The difference with the US is more that rather than voting for 2 or 3 things, I understand they vote for several positions and also possibly extra questions. Then I can understand wanted some kind of automation to speed up the process. Once people start not trusting the voting machines, you have to weigh between people trusting the process and getting a quick result.

In NL they used to use voting machines until there was a successful campaign against them because they couldn't be made secure enough. The main argument being you couldn't prove the code was what it was supposed to be, and the source wasn't public anyway. So now it's done by hand again and it took people a little while to get used to the fact the results weren't instant anymore. But you still get the results mostly within a night (though party level preferences and exact names can take a bit longer).

In the UK it's all paper voting and the results are fully known within 24hrs. Recounts are rare. The race is on on election night for which polling district can declare first, within hours of the polls closing. So what's the problem?
