UA, I read your posts and eagerly hope that the news is better. Please understand that I don't want to repeat what others are saying but that doesn't mean tha tmy thoughts aren't with you both. Like Fred I feel powerless because of the distance between us but if there is a universal consciousness then I will add my spiritual blessing to the both of you.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.

Praying for you both. I hope you can move her back home soon!

As others have said, don't forget to take care of yourself and don't feel selfish for doing so. You are no good to her if you go downhill, too.

Thanks everyone :D

At this point in time, I should be bringing her home this Thursday.
I hope the equipment is in place by then. Will be checking on it
tomorrow.

Hello everyone :!: :D

YES, my wife is home. The equipment arrived BEFORE she got home.
So far, all is working quite well. Her mental attitude is 100% better than
after coming home from the 1st stroke. I will be doing more reading here
than posting, I'm sure you understand why.
Her cognitive ability is much-much better :!: :!:
She doesn't remember why she went into the hospital the 2nd time.

That's all for now.

Have to get going to get a Rx from the pharmacy.

Wonderful news Al. :D
I am very glad she is on the mend as well as she is. Now you stay well and don't get sick with anything that is going around wear a mask when at the store or any where you go..

Great news Al. Sometimes not remembering something is a blessing. Enjoy the good stuff, and like Fred says -- be dang careful, you're not that far from the crazy stuff around DFW.
Be well,

Good news for sure! Glad to hear it!

Don't worry about anyone but the two of you for a while. Don't even worry about reading here. Or what's going on in the news. Help your wife, and keep yourself in a position to do so.

God bless!

All the best for you and your wife as it will influence the life of both of you.

The are people with the State Dept. who think that a stroke is of no influence and therefor my wife was fired by the State Dept. Their other arguments were typo's whilst they were making these also.

Well, it happened again :(
Wife collapsed on the way out of her Urologists appointment last Thursday.
This happened as I was trying to get her back into the car to go home.
Someone came to help, went inside to get the nurses but ended up calling
for the Paramedics. They arrived, assessed her and headed to the hospital
about 2 blocks away. Her mental attitude has gone back down. She's scared.
Spoke with the Doctor. He said she might get to come home this Friday.
The Physical Therapy people were suggesting she go to rehab. I told the Doctor
that was out of the question. She wasn't able to retain the progress she made
at the last facility.

She will probably need to use a catheter for the rest of her life. The one she
came home with, was removed on July 30. In one week, she went "down-hill"
both physically and mentally. The "Plans" we made for our later years are
out of any realm of possibility.

Tonight I start training for the U.S.Census Bureau. This will, for a couple of months,
be a nice financial help.

It's hard to believe this is happening in our late 60's. Thought it wouldn't happen
until our late 70's, if that :(

2020 has turned into the year where my 'performing' days may be over, both musically
and as Santa. :( :faint:

At this point, I don't even think I could "make lemonade" ;)

Al so sorry to hear about the set back for your wife. It makes me sad to hear such things about friends and their families.
If there is ANYTHING I can do with in my powers please let me know.
