Can’t believe I never noticed. I highly doubt that you can find imported meat at your local neighborhood supermarket. Meat here in the US is grown locally, otherwise it would be much more expensive. I could be totally wrong, but I wouldn’t even know where to begin looking for meat from another country.

Yes, some is; a great deal is not. It is likely that as much of what you think is US beef is actually imported -- see link below. Beef imports exceed 3 billion pounds a year, and if you eat ground beef -- the chance that it is imported goes up dramatically.

Wouldn't it be nice! We 'converted' the Mt. Eden bnb part our task as the Resident Friends to an 'all organic' breakfast (thank goodness we didn't provide other meals) -- and I can tell you I had to pedal (bike) my tail all over Auckland to find everything. This was 2010 -- maybe you got it all sorted now! :D
