A Meaty Question to our American Friends
Re: A Meaty Question to our American Friends
Can’t believe I never noticed. I highly doubt that you can find imported meat at your local neighborhood supermarket. Meat here in the US is grown locally, otherwise it would be much more expensive. I could be totally wrong, but I wouldn’t even know where to begin looking for meat from another country.

We buy organic meat from New Zealand at Trader Joe's
Re: A Meaty Question to our American Friends
Yes, some is; a great deal is not. It is likely that as much of what you think is US beef is actually imported -- see link below. Beef imports exceed 3 billion pounds a year, and if you eat ground beef -- the chance that it is imported goes up dramatically.by trdrl92 » Fri Jun 26, 2020 3:17 pm

Wouldn't it be nice! We 'converted' the Mt. Eden bnb part our task as the Resident Friends to an 'all organic' breakfast (thank goodness we didn't provide other meals) -- and I can tell you I had to pedal (bike) my tail all over Auckland to find everything. This was 2010 -- maybe you got it all sorted now!Wow - meat from way down here..... All our meat here would be organic? Isn't marketing amusing...
