It certainly does look like that but is advertised new with tag???andrewsh wrote:The reason, I believe, is simple: it looks like a skirt the wearer might have made themselves out of an old pair of jeans/trousers. I have always been suspicious about those curved or V'd seams on a skirt. Why not make a straight seem.

Re: Items on eBay
Perhaps the company had a batch of trousers with fault(s) in the legs and rather than scrap them they turned them into skirts. Seems a reasonable explanation to me.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.

Re: pants origins?
They might be worn as pants but not as skirts. As skirts they are brand new. My first skirts were made from old and worn jeans. So even skirt wearing was new to me.denimini wrote:....... It certainly does look like that but is advertised new with tag???

I think the idea would have been better presented in leather rather than denim.
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

I have never "got" fashion. Desiring to wear something distressed.
It's nearly winter in my part of the world.
The women and their ripped knees denim jeans about. So unattractive, but oh it's fashion. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7+ holes in the knees and legs of the jeans of some of them. So silly looking.
The high pice they pay to be " beautiful and fashionable"

Re: Items on eBay
When the distressed fashion first appeared. I had friend (since passed) who bought several boxes of seconds from the clothing company and took them out to the country side and laid them out on a small hill side, then took his shotgun and proceeded to blast away at them. When they looked sufficiently ruined he then took them home put them in the washer and then hung them out on the line to dry and fade.
He paid 12.00$ per pair and sold them for 30.00$ per pair or more on E-bay. They were gone in one day. He did this for about a year and a half.

A cheap kilt look-alike for anyone interested. Far too big for me in all directions.

One for Beachlion Quite a nice skirt actually, just my style. A pity about the lettering on it - not so much what it says, I object to any writing on garments.

Re: Items on eBay
I'll second that, I love the skirt but the letters spoil it. I to are not a fan of writing on garments of any type. I don't buy in to the latest brand and feel the need to display the fact.denimini wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2019 7:26 am One for Beachlion Quite a nice skirt actually, just my style. You are right about my liking of the model. I also don't like writing of any kind on my clothes. If they want me to walk around as a billboard, they should pay me.denimini wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2019 7:26 am One for Beachlion Quite a nice skirt actually, just my style. Maybe I can copy the model. In a few weeks the days are getting longer which means I will be thinking of warmer days. I like it when I make mini skirts while outside the fallen snow would reach the hem of it.
