I ordered LBDs

Post by beachlion »

I made some dresses but I was not really satisfied with the outcome. Then the next step would be to let the pros make dresses. So I ordered two black dresses from Amazon.

I collected the dresses yesterday evening from the Amazon locker in downtown Allentown. I went walking (exercise) because parking is not a real pleasure in the city center. I left the box in the car that was parked behind the house. Late afternoon I had the opportunity to smuggle the box inside the house (wife went to bathroom). A little later I could try them on. With the soft and flowing fabric, both fitted quite well. One is quite straight but the other, made of thinner material, has a very flowy lower part. It might be a problem on a windy day. So far so good. I'm happy with the result. Not even $25 each. To test the flowiness I used a ventilator in the last picture. ;)

You did all right on those LBD !

I fancy the second photo with the "A" line (ventilation) factor -
would make moving about easier with more available leg movement.

You cut off the top (neck line) is that a "T" shirt type neck line or a
more scoop design - - -

Oh and are these LBDs a pull over/on design or is there a back (zipper)
closure ?
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

The material is quite stretchy and you pull it over your head like a T-shirt. I was in a hurry to make the pictures and did not check how much of the dress was in the picture.

The neck is a little wider than a typical T-shirt opening and high enough to keep my chest hair covered. The fabric just hangs from the widest part of your body. I'm quite happy with my first purchase in this field.

That’s very smart indeed. Simple, elegant. You wear it well.

I do realise that the dresses are dark, but why keep the wife in the dark? Or is that just for the time being?

Well done, beachlion! Well done! My personal preference is for the dress in the first picture which looks really sharp!

Your avatar resembles that dress - albeit with longer sleeves - and you too wear the LBD sharply or is it shapely !

That first one is also my fav. #2 is more flowy and I'm afraid it will be out of control with just a little wind. I appreciate a compliment from the expert very much.

r.m.anderson: Wow! I hadn't noticed that until you mentioned it! Thanks, wearing a LBD is great fun!

beachlion: I have dresses similar to #2, both short length and mid length, and yeah, a windy day can make for a dicey experience....but a fun one too. Heh! Me? An expert? Well, I wouldn't go that far, I just do what I can to present the best possible appearance for my public outings while imparting the knowledge I've gained during my journey as a fashion freestyler to others.
