First Dates

Discussion of fashion elements and looks that are traditionally considered somewhat "femme" but are presented in a masculine context. This is NOT about transvestism or crossdressing.

Post by jamodu »

I had not previously seen this 2015 episode of Channel 4’s ‘First Dates’ (UK) in which 59 year-old Paul - who likes wearing a Dress - dates for the first time...

I didn't watch it all the way through. I left him sucking a pint at the bar in his b&w dress. Not my taste in entertainment really.

I don't believe there was a second one.
Of course, that would have had nothing to do with his dress sense?

Likely not, which is actually somewhat sad.

There wasn't really enough context to the very short segment, but from what there was it was quite clear that there was a lot of apprehension on both sides from the word, "Go". That could have been the setting, or possibly the mode of attire, or any number of other things. All in all, there just wasn't enough to really tell.

One does hope for the best, however, even if one is betting on the underdog.
