I prefer Tony Hancock, Spike Milligan or Dave Allen.
As a comedian, I think that Mr Hill would have been a wonderful and outstanding politician.
He truly missed his calling.
My late Father in Law and I had many enjoyable debates on this very subject, he was a Benny Hill fan too.
In all other respects he was also perfectly sane and I respected his opinions deeply.

Yep, Milligan or Dave Allen for me too, I have never really been a fan of obvious predictable humour, satire blended with insanity and a good dose of surreality is what works for me.

Benny Hill in politics? maybe I am missing something but I couldn't see that working. Now Frank Zappa, he should have gone political.

Benny Hill = The Misadventures of Robin Hood (1976)

I've enjoyed his "Slap-Stick" comedy many years ago.
A bit "out dated" in today's world but, still gives a good laugh.

If one of the side effects of a hard brexit would be new comedians like Benny Hill etc. standing up, all could be said is go for it Boris. Visiting recently the pastoral landscapes like the Brecon Beacon's does strengthen the notion of the unique ness of the UK (sorry, Wales).

you should know, You have to know, etc. Most of the times things well known bur repacked and presented on a site like YouTube and the makers gains from the number of times his "super"knowlegde is seen by someone. Often enough those sites are infected with trojan horses etc.

You’re aware that The Onion is an old, well known satire site, right? That began at Harvard University? Because your reply suggests that perhaps you were not. I have no strong feelings one way or the other about Brexit. It just amuses me that, after watching the gut-wrenching ordeal of US politics for two years, the UK seems to have said “Hey, that looks like fun; let’s give it a try.”
