high heels and half-inch-itis

Discussion of fashion elements and looks that are traditionally considered somewhat "femme" but are presented in a masculine context. This is NOT about transvestism or crossdressing.

Well, don't hurt yourself, and don't wear heels where more traction is required. And of course don't give up either.
Courage, conviction, nerve, verve, dash, panache, guts, nuts, balls, gall, élan, stones, whatever. Get some and get skirted.

I have always liked high heels and to answer your question yes my heels have risen in height over the years.
My feet are much much more flexible than they were a decade ago, and thats due to wearing high heels.

I have smallish foot 41EU mostly for heels so I have plenty of choices.
You do get used to them -to the point that to 'feel special' or well-dressed you want to wear higher - if that makes sense.

I also wear heels, but the height I sport on outings depends on the activity I engage in, so it varies from a mere two inches to four. I’ve worn five inchers a few times, but that’s not a height to wear unless you can handle it.
I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman.

My first pair of anything with a heel.... Just jumped straight in with a heel of 3 3/4 inch.

Only just arrived, have tried them on but only walked around the house in them.

On the plus side MOH thinks they look cool :D :D :D

Thanks Mike. :) Here in the UK, that link only shows Dr. Martens boots. Not the shoes that Victor has purchased. I rarely wear boots.

Hi Shadowfax - no link needed, the shoes are from eBay (uk site). search "Dr Martens heels".

It's just a question of keep looking and see what comes up, good thing about doc's is that their sizes are generally unisex a men's 9 is the same as a woman's :-)
