Hi Al,
I make unanimous decisions with myself on a regular basis.
If I didn't have one already, I would be the most agreeable employer in the history of employment.

Perhaps my failure as a self employed businessman is that I cannot make up my mind why I am undecided ............weeladdie

Re: Being Self Employed
I did explore the possibility of using the Ancient Roman Military Management Technique of Re-disorganisation......
Further research showed that this was the Downfall of the Roman Empire........This technique has in the last Century
been the downfall of many once great Western Powers.....
I am waiting for the rising tide of global warming to launch my boat straight out of my front garden later this year...
Last March a 21 foot tidal wave came up a local river , so this year the tide may raise the sea level by 200 feet............
My front garden may be replaced by a sandy beach..........................
The Chinese Probe has just landed on the Backside of the Moon.....
In Cornwall, the farmers' wives are still making cheese ..... so why do the Chinese go to the Moon to get their cheese ?

"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

I'm just curious. If you are self-employed, are you self-retired after you retire?

Heh, you've got it easy. Occasionally I'll wind up with a couple of thought-threads that start fighting in my brain. Usually those are over pretty quickly, but sometimes persist long enough for me to consciously shut the combatants down. [0] I suppose that's the lot of the type that every so often has to juggles with problems in 50-year-old hardware and modern databases and programming languages...moonshadow wrote:Lucky.... my brain and my heart fight all the time...
It's been an interesting evening.
[0] Usually with the classic "bum's rush". (I like a quiet background; it helps the stuff in the foreground get finished.)

If you have your own pension fund, yes. But if you're collecting also an old age pension like the AOW, I doubt it.beachlion wrote:I'm just curious. If you are self-employed, are you self-retired after you retire?

Hmmm, I never thought there was an option of self retirement. I assumed it was becoming incompetent due to dementia or dying.beachlion wrote:I'm just curious. If you are self-employed, are you self-retired after you retire?
