Yet another article and this one is close to home ....
I know most of the people involved in this article. It is a downright shame as they all know better, but the machismo attitude is rampant in that profession.

Behaviour like that utterly discredits an organisation and indicates that said organisation should be disbanded and its members prohibited from similar employment going forward. Furthermore, the command staff should be remanded for potential prosecution for abuse of power and being vacant in their jobs. We have a massive failure in command and leadership here.
This goes way beyond petty machismo. This sort of behaviour should be stamped out completely.
