new skirts ordered

Post by Bikerkilt »

Over the winter and early spring I wear camo long skirts with more skirts under them anyway I ripped both of them and cut down to 22 long that is below the knee. Today I call Modest Apparel and talk to the owner about making the skirt hem to fit my stride she said that she would so I ordered 2 skirts with 14 waist 36in long with cargo pockets. You should checkout what they have in modest skirts at modestapparelusa.com you may like what you find. Oh I also ordered a Camo Print Prairie skirt 34in length.

A 14" waist, BK ? Even diminutive Scarlet O'Hara in 'Gone with the Wind' originally had an 18" waist as a teenager.

Perhaps you mean 14X2 = 28 inch ?

For a moment I thought he was competing with "Twiggy" - nothing but bones wrapped in skin !

For awhile back there was the Rule of 20
Take the Misses sizing and add 20 to the number to get the waist equivalent

I.E. - Misses size 12 =s a 32 inch waist

Or you could reverse this for your 32 inch waist you would be looking for a Misses size 12

Back to this 14 inch waist - me thinks one is looking for a broomstick in closet LOL !

"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?

@Bikerkilt, I called attention to the ModestApparel.com camouflage
skirt over a year ago. I am pleased to see they are comfortable working
with male customers, and will tailor almost anything to order. It looks
like a well-made and serviceable skirt. (I don't own one. I am very
satisfied with my camouflage Bayou skirts from Cabela's.)
Almost anything labeled as "conservative Christian clothing" will be
durable and well-made, even if it doesn't fit everybody's idea of
high fashion. They do a lot of school uniforms, etc.
Amish and Mennonite clothing will be of similar high quality, but they
only do basic colors -- black, grey, navy.

Maybe he meant size 14? Which translates roughly to about 36-38 inches?

Better be clear on that order bikerkilt.... you're liable to wind up with one of those skirts that only fits Asians!

Yes moonshadow it is size 14 which comes out to 34 waist. Bertion34 I have bought skirts off of Modest Apparel the last 3 or 4 years and I have a camo bayou skirt that I wore this past Labor Day. r.m.amderson and tom I hope this clear up that mystery.

So the Rule of 20 still works - Size 14 fits a waist of 34 inches.
