Erikó Spring-Summer collection 2017
At last, some realistic skirts and dresses for men as seen on the catwalk. Some of the tops and coats/jackets are nice too.

Nice selection of skirts and tops. The dresses were at a length more
suitable for younger men than me. Oh well - by the time this all
catches on - it won't matter to me.

The below the knee length are too long for me, but above the knee a great, 1 or 2 are just a little too short.
But overall very nice.

Thanks for pointing that up, Stevie.
Aside from the colour-block mini-dresses and the extremely long jackets (which didn't appeal to me), most of that collection is something I'd reasonably wear. The first long skirt is a stunner that looks like it's done in a very interesting fabric, and the rig on the guy with long hair worn down was exceptionally good.
Those looks aren't for everybody, mind, but that's fine because a totally uniform world would be unbearably boring.

Yes, not a bad collection at all.

I'd be happy wearing some of those.Stevie D wrote:Erikó Spring-Summer collection 2017

There is no such thing as a normal person, only someone you don't know very well yet.

I'ld wear some of those skirts but, for me, they
need to be at or just below the knee. That works
great for a 'portly' person, such as I am

They are all probably wearable by one or more of us as there seem to be likings for all sorts of lengths. I tend to like the shorter ones and calf length definitely not. The block colour items were cool. Did anyone click on the You may also like links. Not so exciting but multiple designers .... that must be a little progress.

I liked the colorblock items. In fact most of it was real nice stuff. The ankle length and mid-calf left me cold as did the choice of shoes and hose but otherwise, bravo!
Dennis is right, the "You Might Like Items" are worth a look as well.

That is quite a collection of skirts and outfits, as Sinned stated, yes many of those would be wearable by many of us here. Thanks for the link, appreciate it!

Re: Erikó Spring-Summer collection 2017 - realistic perhaps?
Realistic? IMO, not likely. The tops are definitely not retail viable; not for men, at least. The skirts were much less 'visually challenging' but only a few of them were even interesting. I always dream that there is actually some hidden esoteric world we mere mortals will never encounter where these things are actually worn. But, frankly, I am not sure why designers even bother to do this with men's fashion; it clearly isn't to sell this sort of apparel. I think it's just to prove to women who might buy their women's fashion lines that the designer is 'hip' enough to be called 'cutting edge.' But I don't think we will ever see men seek 'cutting edge' fashion in the way women do. And at this point, any guy in a skirt of any kind is pretty much already on the 'cutting edge.'
As a matter of fact, the sun DOES shine out of my ...

I thought this was very realistic but it will need many more fashion shows before we get a sizable number of men on the streets wearing skirts.

Re: Erikó Spring-Summer collection 2017 - realistic perhaps?
A lot of that stuff I'd totally wear!
I'm not really much on the looks above the knee, and it's not so much the skirts themselves, it's the body shape of the wearer's. I don't think it suits them. Their upper half (waist up) is to big for the skirt. It's overpowering the whole look.
But the A liners below the knee are spot on! And I like many of the tops too.
Here are some of my favorites:
Look 1 - Love the skirt and top. Don't care for the glasses. Needs black frames.
Look 2 - Again, like the skirt and top. Glasses seem to work better, but generally I still think white frame glasses are tacky.
Look 3 - Handsome man. I believe it's the same skirt as in look 2, but I also like the top in this one.
Look 4 - My favorite one I believe. The guy just looks mighty cool! Overall outfit is awesome!
