Denim 70's dress

Post by Stu »

My eldest daughter has bought this dress:

http://www.apc.fr/wwuk/woman/dresses/de ... 82879.html

I don't actually "do" dresses myself so I resisted her suggestion to buy one, but I can see where she is coming from. It is basically like a sort of knee-length man's shirt and, as she pointed out, if we saw an Arab man wearing it in, say, Egypt, we would hardly notice.

Couldn't access the first link, probably more to do with my laptop, than anything else, but the Amazon dress was really quite good looking & a revelation.
I willl be looking there for clothes, just that bit more.
Thank you.

This dress may by 70's style, the price certainly is not!
I saw a beautiful basic jeansskirt in their skirt-section which looks very interesting.
Never heard of APC but they have a branch in Amsterdam, I might go there and have a look.
Perhaps there is a sale on................

I agree it is very pricey. Having said that, I have actually seen one and it does look superb.

That's a very nice looking shirt-dress, and actually very close to a design ideal I've been playing with for a couple of years. However, this one has two distict downsides -- the very high price and the fabric. If I wanted something heavy and scratchy I'd wear jeans; is that dress came in a more "refined" fabric I just might be tempted to look again.
