When worlds collide

Due to my daily intake of `geek`stuff, I came across this conversation. Seems obviously related to what`s discussed here. So go, attack :)

crazypnut: Or break out the Kilts.

Kcolby: Ah yes. Nothing like wool in multiple layers to tame that summer heat ;)
Laughing out loud.

There's also the usual kerfuffle about kilts not being skirts. Of course it's not a skirt. A skirt is an unbifurcated garment that hangs from the waist and a kilt is... oh wait.

Someone said that a kilt needs a sporran. Just been to a funeral in a sporran-less kilt. Oy vey! What will they think of next?

Sleep time.

If they ever do let us wear kilt at work, will the sporran by compulsory?
If so, will women have to wear a sporran on their skirts in the name of equal treatment, will they just strap their handbags to their fronts?

Good Grief! I got part way through and had to quit reading. I can handle a bit of wheel spinning chatter, but keep throwing in mindless vulgarity and I stop listening. No one of either gender wears anything but pants doing my job. We have to abide by some codes called NFPA 70-E. If you make your living in the electrical industry there are rules. I'm fond of regular meals and a comfortable home. I also appreciate a degree of safety. Kilts are great away from work.
You don't get to judge me by your standards. I have to judge me by mine.

I clicked onthat link, but couldn't read past the first few lines.

I'd rather talk about gardening...or sailing...or cars...or anything!
