Well I can safely say that Truro, Falmouth (above) and St.Ives are
skirt friendly.
I took a five day break in Cornwall wearing this denim
skirt for most of the duration and it was a very relaxing few days. Even the hotel proprietors and other guests where I stayed didn't remark at all when I turned up in it and, each morning, went down to breakfast wearing it. Some skirts I feel awkward in, but this one, from ebay again, I find to be suitably unnoticeable.
However on the park and ride bus into Truro the
skirt did tend to fall a little in the leggy category way which I'm not sure gave out the right messages.
It's presence on a casual saunter around Trellisick Gardens, a National Trust place, also attracted no obvious attention, and chatting with some others there about various outdoor exhibits in a staged local art student collection was possible without anyone I spoke to feeling awkward.
Dragging my heels around The Tate at St. Ives in it was seemingly also without interest to anyone. The paintings there also didn't do a lot for me either, but then I'm something of a Phillistine when it comes to modern art splodges.
The
skirt did raise a peel of laughter among some kids waiting in a school bus I passed in Perranporth early one morning when I strolled out for a paper. But I don't consider that serious criticism, just good education. The next time they see a man in a
skirt will perhaps not be quite so novel and hilarious for them
