Thanks for the welcome Jack. Good to be here. How did you learn this skill? The nearest I have come is sewing heavy metal patches (very badly) on my denim jacket as a teenager!

Just from sewing up my old jeans on the hippy road in the old days. Back stitching, where you go forward one and then double back a half. A really small back one can make the result quite invisible, and certainly better than can be got on a machine.
