I am aware of three different pleat styles:

1. Accordion pleats.

2. Box pleats.

3. Knife pleats.

Reference this site for examples of PLEATS:

The Double Box Pleats seem to be always in motion - WOW !
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

And what, pray tell, is a "pegged skirt"? One that is bought "off the peg"?

Pegged skirt...

Imagine a straight skirt, but up towards the top the material bulges outwards.

Fred, just imagine the old, old-fashioned wooden peg with the big bulb at the top.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.
