Kilt making workshops

Post by skirted84 »

Obviously kilt making is quite a leap from hobby sewing of skirts I started, but do any Scottish or UK members know courses or similar that get started on kilt making at reasonable time and expense? The Keith school takes 5 years which is not feasible at this stage in life, Edinburgh Academy have a shorter timeframe but take similar commitment and ££££.

You have of course perused the book: Art-Kiltmaking-Barbara-Tewksbury

https://www.amazon.com/Art-Kiltmaking-B ... 0970375107

This will give you an eye opening introduction to what you seek to accomplish either in kilt making or alterations.
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !
