I found the concept interesting so I made my own version. It is in effect a skirt with an elastic waist and side slits. I think the slits stay decent until we reach Beaufort 6. I will test it soon in a nearby windtunnel.

I like, far better than the commercial product -- and I don't need PJ's anyway!

Stand close to the downwind side of a medium-sized van; that is where you will encounter the worst of the updraught.

This might be a useful idea for a lounge skirt to wear in the evening before beddy byes. That is unless you prefer sitting in the nude. I myself usually change out of my daytime apparel to relax while watching TV.

Today I went to the beach and gave the new skirt some miles. The skirt feels nice and airy. It was windy at moments but everything stayed decent.

It is tacked (stitched) down nicely about halfway from the waist -
With no double apron it should still fare well in that fussy beaufort 6 squall -
In a private place nothing to fret about -
In a public place just a tad bit of caution -
A kilt pin isn't going to do much here except as a useless decoration -

I would have trouble sleeping in that wrapped around the nethers -
Real attractive lounge wear though !

I only have one skirt with significant length slits. They're about 6-8 inches long, but they are in line with the front/ back of the legs. I particularly like it because while the legs show when striding, when I sit, the front "apron" drapes, and it doesn't matter if I sit with legs apart,
