Needle microscope

Post by beachlion »

To check if my needles are still OK, I made a needle microscope from a portable microscope for recordplayer needles. With a magnification of 50, it is hard to focus. So I made a holder to fix the microscope but also the needle.
I can move the microscope into focus and I'm also able to rotate the tip of the needle.

I already had to throw out two stump needles.

Very ingenious little contraption you got there. :D I could have used something like that when I was sewing. I no longer sew my own clothes since I don't have a working machine. :( (Well it works some I can still use it for very minor repairs.
