The Australian phrase I try to remember and popularise here is the "muffin top". You know, that effect you get when you squeeze overweight people into tight leggings.

Fortunately you see it a lot less often than you used to, it was terrible at one stage.

The High Waist versions of leggings tend to correct that - "BUT" still yet it persists -
Compression of internal organs may result in side (back-front) effects not pleasant for the long term health
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !
