I came across a few skirts at old navy. I ordered them both in black and blue denim. Very comfortable. They are selling out quickly!

That denim one looks to have good pockets and is not too long. Not bad prices either.

The pockets are so deep (about 8 inches) and the fabric is stretchy. I love wearing it. No problem putting a phone in there and it will not fall out. I ordered the black version. Should be in next week.

It’s 17” long. Rather comfortable to it in. And feels great while walking.

I bought both of these skirts in jean and black.

I have put a lot of miles on the midi skirt. I added a back slit that matches the front slit and they really pass for long shorts. Really comfortable skirt. Very small pockets. Wish they were like the utility skirt pockets.

The utility skirt is made of a really stretchy material that has a nice weight to it, and it has pockets that are amazing. Better than any pockets I have ever had in pants! I was photographing a soccer match and was able to carry a piece of camera gear in the front pocket with no problem along with a phone, keys and I could have had more things in them. They also have big back pockets.

I did wear a sweater tied around my waist to disguise the black utility skirt at the soccer match. And between social distancing etc. I was far from the players and public. I think that was the first time I took photos of people while in a skirt. Felt amazing with a slight wind blowing across the field. The weight of the jean fabric and how narrow the skirt is kept it from blowing around. I hope to do that again, but it’s getting a little cool now and the season is almost over.

Not for me, way too small! I would need to buy two and wear one on each leg!

I got this exact skirt.

Not "midi" at all, but perfect knee length. The local Old Navy outlet store had it in stock, size 16.
The extra discount was a nice surprise. I paid $17.49.
As I wrote in a different thread, it's a good starter skirt for a first time wearer. Just like the blue denim jeans and shorts
that everybody wears. Good fit, very well made, and (in my opinion) quite good looking.
My only complaint is the 4 inch slit on the back seam. I much prefer twin trim-tabs on the sides.

I posted this skirt a few months back:

I saw the black version of the skirt on a teen the other day. Probably size 0. Would have loved to talk to her about how she likes the skirt etc, but that wouldn’t have been appropriate. Was good to see the skirt out there. She probably would have been like “yah it’s nice”. I think it’s one of the most comfortable skirts I have ever worn and with amazing pockets.

Ordered this:

Saw on their site they have a gender neutral section. All t-shirts, sweat pants and shorts. Bummer! Was hoping to see a skirt listed! Maybe in the near future.

In this respect "gender neutral" is just newspeak for unisex.
The attitude is still gender specific.

Indeed, just as "unisex" has always been code for "butching up" the female of the species.

What's old is new again. (Written from the point of view of somebody who has seen the cycles in action.)

That said, it's just possible we might be on the cusp of something important, and here's hoping that that comes to pass. The entirely ossified view of what constitutes "masculine" is hopelessly and incontrovertibly outdated and owes too much to the "Marlboro Man" and other assorted similar fantasies. The quicker that goes away the better. We are men and we deserve to be judged according to our deeds and characters, not our adherence to outdated stereotypes.
