Discussion of fashion elements and looks that are traditionally considered somewhat "femme" but are presented in a masculine context. This is NOT about transvestism or crossdressing.

Funny slapstick silent film. I got a few chuckles out it.

The guy-flapper seems to wear it well! :P Seems to have a good shape for the dress...

Hi Moon,
I'd admit this is classic slapstick and perfectly of its time. Did you know that Laurel and Hardy were actually Brits?
The thing is that the "humour" of a man in a dress has not evolved much in the better part of a century.
Check Mrs Brown's Boys, subtle it certainly is not:

and personally, I think its rubbish. However, its also a huge hit on TV.
Thanks to Shadowfax a correction,
Stan Laurel was British and Oliver Hardy was American.

Not my cup of tea either, but despite the embellishment of practically every sentence with four-letter words the series has found great favour in Britain and the cast have made a packet of money through it.

I certainly won't be buying any of the boxed sets of it on sale in hi-fi stores.
