Skirters in the Music Industry

Discussion of fashion elements and looks that are traditionally considered somewhat "femme" but are presented in a masculine context. This is NOT about transvestism or crossdressing.

... and so it came to pass... that on this day, Moon Shadow fell in love with a celebrity dress!

There goes another gender role... :P

That said, I like the cut of the thing -- mainly that of the bodice -- which mirrors quite a bit of the stuff I tend to haul out only on weekends and for casual bits. And, no, it doesn't look like I'm channelling Austin Powers.

Wow, Nick Beggs wears some cool stuff. I'd never heard of him, but I well remember Kajagoogoo.

Meant to say, I was familiar with the harp guitar (courtesy of Andy McKee), but I'd never heard of a Chapman Stick until now - so I've learned something today :-)

The dress that Kurt Cobain is wearing is identical to one that MOH has hanging in her wardrobe even to the floral pattern, neckline and button down front to the waistline.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.

This image appears on Google and Pinterest with a description / filename of Chester French (an LA / Boston band - Director Damien Chazelle (of Whiplash and La La Land fame) was previously in the band).

Edited to add - really like this look!
