This sort of thing actually seems to be a style.denimini wrote:Never laugh at a man in a skirt!

Unbelievable except that designers will do anything to be different and gain attention.
Courage, conviction, nerve, verve, dash, panache, guts, nuts, balls, gall, élan, stones, whatever. Get some and get skirted.

Re: Mutant Garments
Let it come! When everyone's wearing them, I shall hold my head VERY high and wear a sensible garment, like a SKIRT.denimini wrote:Never laugh at a man in a skirt!

I'd rather walk around in a potato sack.

It's not a jacket, it's not a dress, it's not a skirt, it's not pants, what the heck is It?
Re: Mutant Garments
I think the idea is good enough, but the product fails for me because :
the sleeves look uncomfortably tight,
his collar is shapeless does not seem to fit,
no-one needs quite that much space for the goods below,
the tight lower leg tubes contrast too much with the loose upper part
winkle-picker shoes are just too daft.
The silhouette of the lower half is no different from that of a person with a skirt and leggings -- which a lot of you seem to like, so why laugh?

One can make a silhouette of a dog head with ones hands.

Yes.... lets not pull the elegance of a skirt down to whatever the hell that thing is.

If memory serves -- and it may not -- I believe the name for it is a "craptin" because that's what it looks like happened.melsav wrote:It's not a jacket, it's not a dress, it's not a skirt, it's not pants, what the heck is It?

In and on! That should not ever be seen in public. It is the most butt ugly thing I believe I have ever seen.

It's called a lougesuitboilersuitharempantsonesie, obviously. Do try to keep up!
As for the denim skort, it's for people who like miniminis but value their modesty. If the fabric had 2% Lycra, some of the gents here would be queuing up to tell you how comfortable it was!

Keep on skirting,

Re: Mutant Garments
Kilty, why on Earth did you do such a thing as to order one of those abominations???!
Don't you know that will only encourage the designers?
On the other hand, as Moonshadow pointed out, if anyone is actually caught wearing one of those things in a city near you, the people who previously looked at you with scorn or hostility will now regard you as rather normal.
