Found this dress on Amazon

Discussion of fashion elements and looks that are traditionally considered somewhat "femme" but are presented in a masculine context. This is NOT about transvestism or crossdressing.

Found this dress on Amazon

Post by Uncle Al »

Hey - I found this dress on Amazon.com
Lat Sportswear Women's V-Neck T-Shirt Dress 2016-02-03.jpg
http://www.amazon.com/LAT-Womens-Fashio ... W4KG603W25
which I ordered 2 white and 1 black. I posted a pic of the blue one
as it shows the details best. It is not long enough, for me, to be a
dress as it comes to mid-thigh. That was not my intent. I wear it
as an over-sized(long) T-Shirt under my regular shirt & kilt/skirt.
When wearing a kilt in the "Traditional Sense", this will help protect
the material. Normally worn, this will be a second level of 'protection'
for the material/fabric of the kilt/skirt.

Anyway, I thought I'ld pass along the info in case anyone is interested :D

Looks good and I know that you will enjoy them as I enjoy mine in golden yellow. I also wear it as a longish top and in warm weather just on its own around the house. MOH doesn't object as it was one of her donations from her wardrobe though she does say that it's too short to wear as a dress. It's ssssoooo comfortable.

It occurred to me to add a solid block of colour at the bottom if I could find say an extra large T-shirt in a charity shop but at the moment I am just enjoying the shortness of it. :D

A lot of women appear to wear shortish dresses (or tunics) with leggings. That may be a good option if you want something shorter but want to be a little bit more modest!

I'd wear that dress in a heartbeat! It'd be great to wear once spring rolls around!

I've found recently that the tall variety of shirt(s) from the big/tall shops are roughly tunic or short dress length. The one thing I didn't see on that amazon offering was an overall length to do a comparison.

The following t-shirt is 34" long. Which, for me, lands mid thigh, and would make a loose fitting mini-dress or tunic: King Size Direct V-neck T-shirt

Their Extra long Pique Polo shirt literally lands lower thigh on me and is longer than some of the polo style shirt dresses I had been thinking about buying off one of the ladies plus size websites.

Also, the wife hasn't opposed the tunic/leggings look, so long as I keep the derriere covered. Leggings have also allowed me to employ otherwise scandalously short skirts the wife disapproves of on their own. When wearing leggings by themselves or at times when there's significant chance the crotch area will get exposed (e.g. short tunics), I've also taken to wearing a male ballet dancer's "dance belt" to be sure that the appropriate jiggly bits are properly smoothed over and supported.

I've just looked at your links for the T-Shirt & Polo Shirt.
Good find :D They appear to be a fine product. But, for me,
even the long ones are short compared to the T-Shirt Dress.
I guess it all depends on the person wearing the shirt.
Some people are 'taller' between the hips & shoulders
than others. I guess the 'models' on the links are of
the 'taller' variety ;)

I wonder... where is the point where it's too long to be just a shirt, and now qualifies as a dress?

I would venture a guess that if you bend over and you still can't see your butt cheeks then it's a dress...

Then again, some women may balk at this....

Regarding the OP dress... nice top... but I'd like something more A line.

My friend said the same thing: so long as your bottom is covered, it'll work.

I've been out twice now in a V-neck shirt-like garment/tunic/whatever - it is just a hair longer than my fingertips when standing upright with arms straight down. I've been wearing panties, support hose and leggings and it seems she was right.

The first washing went fine.
BUT ~ I washed and dried it with my
regular T-Shirts. I guess the dryer
was to hot as the 'dress' shrank about 2 inches.
That's what 100% cotton can do for you

The second 'dress' will be washed on cold AND
dried on low heat. Maybe it won't shrink(I hope) ;)

The over-all fit is GREAT :!: :!: :!: :!:

As to shortness ~ Any skirt/dress that falls
above my knees is to short for me. This is
my personal preference due my 'rotundness'.

I'm wearing the black one now and wanted
a shirt to use the pocket. The square-bottom
shirt came to 6" above the bottom of the dress.
So, I added a bluish-gray stretch skirt.
Also wearing black opaque tights over my
knee-high support socks.

I might wear the T-shirt dress this summer
while in the back yard. It doesn't fit my 'over-all
look' to wear it out in pubic(not a teenager anymore).

Hum... from the picture I would have though it would have been above the knees.

Glad it's working out for you.

As for public outings... my thoughts on it is... if you find it agreeable, then that's all that matters!

Dress Up-date

I ordered 3 more white dresses to use as over-sized T-shirts.
Order was placed on the February 21. The company must have
a warehouse in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area as I received them
yesterday, February 23. I then received an email stating the
items had been shipped - AFTER I had received them

Oh well, they're here and I wore one today. LOVE THE FIT :D
I ordered the 2X/3X size(largest available). They're so soft &
light, its hard to believe you're wearing one. The V-neck is not
deep, just about like a regular V-neck T-shirt.
The behind is covered as long as I don't bend over.
(In that case, I might scare the neighbors  )

YMMV ;)

Don't dry them in the dryer, just hang them and let them air dry. Minimal shrinkage that way.
