Put Your Tights On!

Discussion of fashion elements and looks that are traditionally considered somewhat "femme" but are presented in a masculine context. This is NOT about transvestism or crossdressing.

JohnH is correct: I was simply expressing how my wife, who was once vehemently opposed to my wearing any item of women's clothing, now appears to not only accept it but actively encourages it.

The padding has nothing to do with the support: it was merely a description of the bra. Moreover, the padding is not moulded like a t-shirt bra.

It does, however, provide horizontal support in pulling my shoulder blades inwards (and thereby supporting them: it works for me).

Sorry, but I really have to object at this point to the direction of this thread. Whether you benefit from a bra or not is well off the theme of this whole site. And the image is exactly what we as a community have been trying to avoid having in these fora.

The thread has the title 'Put your Tights on'.

I understood that tights covered just the legs & bottom and because the leg covering part is visible to the observer they merited discussion on this Forum.

We're seriously 'off piste' here and an avalanch threatens.

I would say that his wife was thinking of, and using, concepts that she
knew about with the cross-back bracing. There are garments for men
than do the same thing. For example -

I can't post a pic or img location as the pic is waaaay to big for a post.
Maybe if his wife was aware of these male garments she would've purchased
it instead of the female version. In this case, I'ld cut the O.P. some slack.

jamodu simply responded to a question I posted. So don´t be too hard on him.

I agree with others - let´s keep the talk about underwear to a minimum except for functional reasons. My underwear is strictly functional, with no exotic content whatsoever.

Maybe the OP needs the breast support to a certain degree, and male articles would not provide for that need.

OK - Let us get back to leg wear and with these cold temps, and my DVT,
I usually wear my regular support hose with 2 pair of strong tights over
them. I do this 'cause I don't like the thought of paying $68.00 for a
20-30mmHg high-compression leotard(a.k.a.-pantyhose) unisex design
for men or women.

They do work wonders for my legs and help keep me warm under skirts/kilts.
Air, in the weave of the hose, is a fantastic insulator. The tights help to
keep the edema down to a minimum. Just a bit of a pain when having
to use the 'facilities'.

As this is a thread about tights & pantyhose I want to pass along a discovery I made this morning.

I've had the same problem with pantyhose that a number of you have mentioned, the waistband tends to roll up the panty and make an uncomfortable and unsightly rope around our waists. Recently I saw that L'eggs and No Nonsense packaging cited wider waistbands to solve that problem. It didn't. But I figured that if the manufacturers went to that length it must just be an annoyance that comes with the territory. Then this morning I realized I had a reasonable pelt on my stomach and remembered reading that nylon hose invariably slide off hairy legs. It suddenly hit me, the upper portion isn't going to have any better luck sitting on a hairy torso (took me long enough). So I shaved off the hair above my underpants and sure enough, the waistband on my pantyhose stayed in place today!
