Hmmm. Think she should read the comments!

Discussion of fashion elements and looks that are traditionally considered somewhat "femme" but are presented in a masculine context. This is NOT about transvestism or crossdressing.

Her judgement is badly flawed. Hardly surprising, she writes for the telegraph.

A load of biassed rubbish. It's people like her that prevent men from trying anything new.

The strange thing is that this was written not fifty years ago, but today when men do go about in lycra cycle shorts, a garment that must have shocked many when it first appeared, but that's the way it is; men no longer feel they have to disguise their bulge. Trousers of 50 years ago were loose, hung from the waist and did not give a clue about what may have been concealed underneath. Today's jeans bulge both back and front, and no-one thinks it odd.
Personally, I would not go shopping in figure-hugging lycra, but I'm in my 70s, so my pre-liberation mentality can be forgiven, but I would not criticize other men for showing off their assets as this woman did. She must be even older than I am!

To criticize men that choose tight clothes while saying that it's fine for women to show their curves/bulges -- however voluminous they may be; that's going to far. She'd probably like to have us men wearing burkas so that we don't tempt her into licentious thoughts and desires.

The readers' comments were more interesting.

I've just left my post. What an outdated, biased attitude she has. Would be interested in how she responds, if ever.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.

I suppose women and others who have prominent breasts should wear only baggy shirts so as to hide the mammary bulges.

Oh shelter the young one's eyes and cover your own.
"The horror of it all" ! from the movie Apocalypse Now.
Where are the clothing police ?

Now if this was a female there would be absolutely nothing wrong;
in fact that female could remove even more clothing and still be
what is called street legal.

Travel in this country (USA) and see statues and the male must
have a loin cloth or grossly oversized fig lead over the gentile region.
Travel in Europe and the further south and east of France the fig
leaf disappears. Even the paintings in the old country do not hide the
body form created in God's image and likeness.

Such prudency in this day and age is the epitome of ridiculous !
More skin than ever before is shown with each advancing year.
Nudists have it right in that there is nothing wrong with the exposure
of the body to the elements. Only those with warped minds would
think otherwise. Granted some folks should keep the exposure down
a notch or two. But to continue along this line is not within the main
topic of this forum.

The writer of the news article needs to be run out of town (naked of course)
like Lady Godiva on a horse.
I however prefer to have my skirts and kilts - "ON" !
I am a bit more comfortable with myself that way especially with the
weather elements being what they are today.

"Skirt-Kilt-ON"
rma
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !
