The skort I have has a skirt all round. my skorts (I have a few tailored skorts) - they have a skirt front but the rear is like a pair of shorter shorts and there is no skirt bit on the back.
In that sense the tennis/sports skirts I mentioned, by comparison have a full skirt around them - so they are different.
