Oh yes, On several occasions I've had conversations with a couple, sometimes for several minutes, and when the wife, (it's usually the wife, but not always) gets around to complimenting me on my skirt, the husband is very surprised.

This is generally good advice for virtually low-risk operations, and certainly swapping trousers for a kilt or skirt is, in most cases, low-risk.
