Hello from Bayswater

Post by risley17 »

Greetings! I got a pair from a friend in Reading as a souvenir. I haven't tried it yet and I want to know where I can freely use it here in Victoria. Anyone from the same area and know an event to show it off?

Yeah. Normally "got a pair" refers to a pair of gonads, which makes me wonder what the hell is going on in Reading...

I think that risley17 hails from Australia, if that's of any help at all. Maybe local slang?
Google Maps couldn't find a place called Reading in Australia. So that would be the one in Berkshire, here in the UK, I suppose?

For the record, there are several towns in the Philippines named Victoria.

That's pretty cool how you can tell that. Tonight mine is bouncing off of Whittier North Carolina, of course with it being under Verizon Wireless (tethered) who knows where it will say I'm at at any given time. Jenn is using an AT&T phone connection as of now so we should no longer be coming up under similar locations... :)

I have an unfair advantage in that I can see the IP address that anything comes from.

Normally I don't go looking for such things, but occasionally I do, usually for new or "troublesome" users. IP addresses plus "geolocation" frequently point up "interesting patterns". (It's all in the "bag o' tricks" of mods.)
