Just found this site and joined today, 2/3/2018. I'm 73 and will be 74 in October. I have worn skirts off and on for about 40 years. Found them to be quite comfortable and so much cooler in hot weather. I look forward to finding my way through the threads and posting when I think I have something to add. Glad I found the site.

Well Mike, I never thought I would spend my retirement wearing my favourite skirt and relaxing under the palm trees in cyber space.

There is something strange here. Gabby's Quote is appearing in your quote...

......... Mike......I am assuming you were referring to the Old Folks Corner of the webb. ...........weeladdie

Sorry for the long delay in answering what corner of the world I'm from but a bout of poor health slowed me down a bit. Just a nasty bit of the flu but it sure took it's time leaving me. I reside in Massachusetts USA. Looks as if there are members from all over, that is good to see, it means we are not as alone as many of us thought.

Hi Brit Kid ,I live in S W Cornwall. ...probably nearly old enough to be your father...many of us have been skirting for years....The traditional full
below the knee summer skirt with an elastic waist band is ideal for the " man in skirts "......cool for the summer weather..worn with all
male garments and a traditional male jacket with pockets ....perhaps some kind of sporran.....

Summer skirts are available from charity shops at £5 each........You may see one other man in a skirt in a year......weeladdie

1964, grew up in the amazing alternative music and culture goth scene in the 1980s. Nowhere near slowing down or giving up my own approach to living.

Agreed. Never, never, never give up your own approach to living.

You can never be happy trying to be anyone else.

I am 63 years young I have been a skirt or dress wearer most of my life. My favourite skirt is a chiffon either full circle or pleated A-Line midi length this is also the style of dress I love to wear.
I go by the name of Coleen when I dress in a skirt or dress and I also wear other female designed clothes.

In the age pecking order here on this Forum I do believe that R.M.Anderson tops the bill and I probably run him a close second....so far!

The Bingo callers shout 'Legs Eleven' 11, so I reckon I'm 'Jolly hockey sticks' 77.

I'm from that flat piece land that is under sea level, and we call it The Netherlands. The rest of the world call this country Holland.
Our house is a 30 minutes drive south of Amsterdam

Being a transgender woman now, i did some skirting when i was still a man. And i loved it. Even MOH did approve it. She is still with me, and still support me through this transition.

I love to read al the adventures of you men going out in public for the first time. Been there and got no t shirt, but i love my skirts

I’m 22. And still nervous about the whole wearing skirts in public thing. Though I desperately want to do it for real.
