Christmas Greeting

All in all it's been an interesting year on this Forum and I have had a great lot of entertainment from it.

I toast all you fine learned contributors and wish you all compliments of the Season. I have in my hand a glass of malt distillate which slips down very nicely if you are well disposed to such tinctures.

Whether Scotch or Irish I have my reservations about paying out more than 50 Quid for a bottle. Specialist whisk(e)y outlets stock outrageously priced offerings, but in my opinion one can enjoy a very fine libation for significantly less.

Cheers,

Tom

Tom, If I thought I'd be welcome and could make it there on time, I'd be on the next freighter out for the Old World, possibly never to return.

The look presented is nothing short of magical, and why Mrs. Kirbstone has such a down on it I cannot know. "For the win!"

All I can do is hoist a (now US brewed) Bass Ale towards my north-east (Great Circle Routes and whatnot).

If it was an Ireland green, I'd say positively elfish...but in Ireland, I guess that would be Leprechauns?

Got it in one, D. Elves are busy just now frantically assisting Santa load up his sleigh in Lapland, near the North Pole and air traffic controllers at Dublin airport are on the lookout for a flying sleigh approaching Irish airspace from the East........

Here the leprechauns hibernate, as in Winter with the Sun so low in the sky there's a lack of rainbows for them to sit at the end of!

That red kilt was purchased in 1997 for a favoured niece's wedding to a very large (6'5") Cameron from North of Hadrian's Wall. Not to compete with the groom & best man the top bit is informal, but the kilt matched the others.

Merry Christmas all, and the sentiment is not confined to Christians (of all ilk) but is shared with those who celebrate the Winter Solstice, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, the New Year, and likely others that I have unintentionally omitted.

May the coming year bring you all happiness, health, and prosperity.
