Re: Did it myself
This is the same camo kilt as above but with modifications. Belt loops made longer and narrower with steel rings on the bottom of the belt loop to clip keys and whatever and pockets. Any more suggestions welcome.

Re: Did it myself
Here is another attempt at home made just finished. Looks a little short, but that's how I like them. This kilt has a
Kinggussey pleat. My wife loves this one because it has narrow pleats. I went to the local shopping mall this morning and heard say to his kids, see that man there do you know what country he is From? They both said at he same time, Scotland.
I love wearing my kilts and wear them every weekend where ever I go. And the only comments I get are all good.

Re: Did it myself
It looks great! It also looks like a hell of a lot of work to make. Was it?

Re: Did it myself
Just finished another kilt. This makes 10 kilts I have made. But I think this is the best so far.

Very impressive, Melsav. You're quite a master with the sewing machine &c. Must save you a packet relative to buying the things ready made.
I like the last tartan, too.

Re: Did it myself
Very good. Especially the last one came out very professional. I made a few kilts myself so I know a little of the hassle to make it right.

Re: Did it myself
Kirbstone. Thank you. To buy a kilt in South Africa is about 3000 Rands. To buy s fabric enough to make 2 kilts costs 600 Rands and about 12 to 16 hours to make. Big saving.
Skirtyscott. Thanks. Made a Pink one this time just to be different. so far people in town love the colour.
Beachlion. Every-time i make a new kilt i learned from the last one and get better at it.
Do you make a most of your own skirts and kilts, the one`s i have seen look very nice.
The good thing about making your own skirts is that you know it will fit you.
