I'm not nearly as fit as I'd like to be, but even then, wouldn't feel the need to rock a crop top either. I've always wanted to wear a layered shirt look, but always felt it was too emo/grunge/eboy. I suppose one could wear a shirt under a crop for the layered look, but it would feel so... unnecessary?

Agreed. I don’t think I could rock a crop top with a skirt like SkirtsDad does, nor would I even try. I know my sense of style, and such tops are not part of my repertoire.

The article is using it as a particular example of male fashion experimentation, which can only be a good thing as far as I can see.

I have recently acquired a modestly cropped top, and aspire to be able to wear it without bulging below it by the end of the summer! Well, we can all dream...

There's no reason for a guy not to wear pretty much anything a female may wear.
I'll leave these things though, just wouldn't work for me in any sense.

I am a fan of cropped jumpers and wool tank tops that finish as the waist band of the skirt. Now they are cool.

Not really my intent to police who can wear what - and whether having a certain shape is good or bad. I just think for me to wear one I would need to have a certain fitness quality about my stomach, and I’m far from that “ideal”. Other's may not care.

I have no problem exposing my quite hairy belly, or anyone else's, so think crop tops are fine. When a belly protrudes a fair amount, I can understand not wanting to advertise that but support body positivity for folks of all shapes.

Yes, I liked the part on skirts for men, too.
