CNN article on men’s makeup
I put this here because of this line in the text:
Skirts have become perfectly acceptable garments to find hanging in the modern man's wardrobe: Brad Pitt, Oscar Isaac and A$AP Rocky have all worn them.
“Perfectly acceptable,” though should be a correct statement, I’m not sure it is. Yet… But it’s nice to read and a good sign.

"Practically perfectly acceptable in every way" - Mary Poppins
It's nice to read that, even if the sentiment hasn't quite become universal yet.

Re: CNN article on men’s makeup
I was browsing in a second-hand bookshop yesterday, and found a classic handbook for samurai translated from the Japanese. By chance, the page that opened was the one that advised the careful samurai warror to carry some rouge powder in his sleeve (i.e. medieval Japanese equivalent of a pocket), in case his complexion needed a bit of reviving when he was newly woken or somewhat hungover!

Feels like there’s a ground swell of acceptance. Of course as there’s pressure in one direction, some clown named Newton said there’s be an equal and opposite pressure in the opposite direction. So we should expect push back.
NB: my use of the word “clown” when describing Newton is tongue in cheek.
