The Guardian: Harry Styles: ‘I’m not just sprinkling in sexual ambiguity to be interesting’

Post by Coder »

The main article is here:

https://www.theguardian.com/music/2019/ ... ng-a-dress
Styles nods. “Am I sprinkling in nuggets of sexual ambiguity to try and be more interesting? No.” As for the rest, he says, “in terms of how I wanna dress, and what the album sleeve’s gonna be, I tend to make decisions in terms of collaborators I want to work with. I want things to look a certain way. Not because it makes me look gay, or it makes me look straight, or it makes me look bisexual, but because I think it looks cool
I found The Guardian article from this article, with an attention-seeking headline:

HARRY STYLES REVEALS INSPIRING REASON HE WEARS SKIRTS AND DRESSES

https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2023/02/02/h ... d-dresses/

I don’t know if you can even call it an article.

I like this Guardian article. We always forget that celebs are real people and they can’t all be d-bags. Sometimes they do just do things cause that’s who they are. There’s many who also do attention seeking things but not constantly.

I was interested in his comment “who cares?” And the implication that this is the attitude of Gen Z. It suggests that we might see MIS becoming accepted within the foreseeable future. That would be great- though may not help those of us with domestic opposition.

@greenboots. I think MiS getting accepted by the younger crowd could help domestic opposition. No one likes to be called old. Think of the phrase “ok boomer.” That phrase stops older generations in their tracks. If someone protests MIS and gets a “ok boomer” reply, that could help ease the homestead fights
