Good to see someone at 16 just making his own sartorial choice... though could just be influence of his mom :?

Ok, it's nice he's wearing a dress, but I really don't like those very low V-necks, not on men or women. It's one of the reasons I find it so hard to find nice dresses.

But, to each their own.

I think the dress looks good. Couldn't make out the footwear - it could be trainers but note he is carrying a handbag.

I didn't like the dress either - the deep V is not a good look on men.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.

The dress on the whole is nice, but yes the V is too much.

Folks are judgemental of men who wear skirts. Here men who wear skirts are judgemental of other men who wear skirts and dresses if their taste differs from the commentator's.

I think judgemental here is being used in the sense of "overly critical"? I disagree, it's great he feels he can wear a dress if he likes, but I'm not going to pretend I like the style. Not liking someone's style doesn't count as "overly critical" to me.

I agree with you on this point Jim, some of these comments cannot be seen as anything else.
Fashion Freedom has to mean just that, all embracing or what are we ever going to achieve?
Hell, we already have the Kilt Police so let's form the Cleavage Committee next and after that Commission for Headline Standards.
Nah this is fairly standard fare really, he carries it well enough by the look of thing and yes, Mum's influence would help but same could be said in a multitude of other scenarios.

I thought the neckline was ok, it doesn't seem that deep and he has some defined pectoral muscles so the profile of it works.

I think the most important thing is that this fellow was willing to try something different, rather than conforming to the herd. I will give him credit for trying, even if his particular style isn't to my taste.

Do agree that it's good to see someone stand out and try something different, he's certainly doing that in a red v neck dress.
I'm like a majority of other members I don't care for the "v" neck.
if that's your thing I guess, roll with it.

I personally don't care for them, in men's or women's clothing.

I feel too exposed in v necks or tank tops. I do not own any.
That's one reason I don't really care for dresses, most are low cut or have a large neck opening.

I know this is coming from a man that loves the openness and freedom of a skirt. Just as long as it's not shorter than about 18 inches. A little too drafty

Women's V necks and low cut tops I feel are kind of a "bait'
That men get yelled at about.
The Bait and switch.
it B like this. Look at me, notice me, am I attractive?
You pig :pig: what are you doing staring down my top?

If you are out for a walk and you come across a well it's only curiosity to want to see if you can see the bottom. :pig:

I think it's pretty cool. It's cleverly picking up on the styling of men's sportswear. I certainly wouldn't wear a V-neck that low myself, but I'm happy for anyone else to wear one if they're happy with the look.

Dresses that are low cut or have a big neck hole are intended, I believe, to draw attention to a woman's cleavage. Part of an effort to emphasize a woman's sexuality.

Some men's sports vests have a low cut neckline, though usually a round edge not a V: intended to show off the musculature, I presume.

I don't know if this link will work: David Banda in a smart white dress (of which I am somewhat envious).
