The article mentioned about how the father gave a doll to his child.

When I was a toddler my mother gave me a doll whose eyes would close when the doll was placed on its back. I as a typical boy took the head apart to see how the eyes closed.

When I was VERY young, I was in love with Shirley Temple.
For one Christmas, my dad purchased a child-sized arm chair rocker.
Sitting in the rocking chair was a Shirley Temple doll.
I still have that doll which, even without the box, is worth a few dollars.
At age 70, the sentimental value is PRICELESS :!:
