Two different authors in the same month writing about mens skirts, is this a trend or is the skirt lobby working extra hard to push mens skirts? Or is the editor of the same mind as us? Very curious.

Nice to know it is official. "More than ever before" isn't saying alot.
I don't mind that look, although rather formal.
If another man started wearing a skirt in my town, there would be a 100% increase ........... more than ever before.

Man I just don't see it. There for a while I'd see men wearing skirts quite often, especially around 2016, but it's been a long time since I've seen another guy in a skirt. I've not even seen a man in a kilt in ages...

I'm starting to think 2016 was just a fad.

Contemplate the percent increase of skirt-wearing men in town when you started -- it's more than 100% (a lot more).

This is in New York City, so "more than ever before" might be more meaningful there. And it is, after all, in cities like New York where something like men wearing skirts will become real. It's only much later that it will become a thing outside of major cities.

......so don't go and stop breathing yet guys unless you want to migrate to the Big Wotsit.
Meantime take comfort from being ahead of the masses and not just swelling certain couturiers' coffers.

I will celebrate when I can walk into Marks and Spencers (UK) or J C Penney (US) and see skirts in the menswear ranges.

I will celebrate when I can walk through a busy town and see a proportion of males wearing skirts.

I will celebrate when I can walk into a British school and see that boys as well as girls are wearing uniform skirts/dresses.

I will celebrate when my local hospital offers the male nurses the option of a dress as well as a top and pants.

Until then, aside from the trans lobby of course, men in skirts is either the highest of high fashion, or a "special interest" group like us.
