Boy NOT sent home for wearing skirt

This story is a month old but I've only just seen it.

If we take the school's head's comments at face value, then this seems like a good story. The school didn't stop the boy from wearing a skirt to school (it was also a regulation school skirt), and the head says he would welcome the pupil's ideas on a review of uniform policy.
There were some issues around wearing a skirt so near to exams, so I'm a little concerned about this particular stance. But they did ask him if he wanted to continue wearing a skirt.
I take this as a sign that things are changing in society. We need to keep going, keep skirting!!
