One of the things that made the skirt popular is the fact that muslims are not allowed to show their naked body in public. The target crowd is mostly Islamic boys who shower after sports.
When one boy wears underwear in the shower he is mocked, when most of them wear something then the naked boys are mocked.. So boys who have muslims in their classroom or the ones that joined a soccerclub with islamics are bound to wear something in the showers.

The reality is that there are many people who have a serious aversion to being naked in front of others, whether for religious reasons or just because they have strong feelings about privacy. If someone doesn't have such an aversion - fine - but that doesn't mean they should be regarding those who do to be weird or stupid. We're all different.

If this "showershort" finds a market among people who can see a use for such a garment, then that's great! I would agree, though, that it's not awfully significant for the "men in skirts" movement.

I agree, it's not relevant for our cause.. Worse it could hinder it if those people associate skirts with 'privacy' or 'shame'..

then again 'skirts in the News / Advocacy' is what this section is about. Even for the things that we don't like.
