Just spotted this on the BBC website - Asterix the Gaul and Obelix wearing kilts in the land of the Picts!

I'm looking forward to reading it.
Pity they had to have Asterix and Idefix (the dog) laughing at Obelix in his enormous kilt. He looks no worse than he did in breeks (or whatever the Gauls used to wear). It must be those spindly legs that had always been hidden up to now.

Oh, thank you for that pointer ST. I have very fond memories of the Asterix books from my childhood when my father bought a bunch of them for me when I was fighting with elementary French in school.
