ChangeTheGame

Post by FranTastic444 »

I've spent some time back in the UK over the last month or so (due to the death of my dad, unfortunately). I stayed with my sports-mad in-laws and I got to see just how much effort the Beeb has put into pushing gender equality in sport - giving much more prominence to various female sporting competitions this summer.

I watched and enjoyed some of the football and cricket coverage, but by far the best sport for me was watching the netball World Cup. The semifinal between NZ and England was a great game. We played netball at school in mixed teams - would love to have another go but I'm not sure my knees would be up to all that leaping and pivoting. And don't those netball kits look fantastic?

The game between Australia and NZ was even better.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.
